The Conference Proceedings 2008

This book presents part of the papers presented at the International Conference 'The European Entrepreneurship in the Globalizing Economy Challenges and Opportunities' held in Varna, Bulgaria, on 9 - 12 September 2008. The rest of the papers are published in a separate book by Edward Elgar Publishing.

The papers are presented in the following thematic directions:

  • Starting and Growing a New Venture
  • Innovation, Marketing, and Entrepreneurial Networks
  • Entrepreneurship and Regional Development
  • Different Aspects of Entrepreneurship

The accents in the papers are on the ‘hot topics’ of the European entrepreneurship, mostly in the countries with newly established market economy - Central and Eastern Europe. The entrepreneurship in these countries is considered as a main engine of the changes and their development. In this context, the conference’s outcomes have not only scientific but also a certain practical character.
